This evening my wife and I were sitting down to watch the time travelers wife when I received a strange phone call. First, I looked at the caller ID and saw my own phone number calling me. Confused, I answered it, and the man on the other end said, "don't forget your hammer," and disconnected the line. I thought it was just a joke, so I pushed it from my mind and cuddled up to my wife. The next day, I was working in the garage out back when I heard a rustling in the trash cans. Without thinking, I grabbed my hammer to scare off whatever was rummaging in the trash. Beside the garage, the trash cans stood undisturbed. I looked inside each but found nothing out of the ordinary. Something clattered around the corner suddenly. Hammer in hand, ready to pounce, I jump out from my hiding spot to discover myself standing there waiting. "Good you remembered the hammer. We have to go now, no time to spare," the other me said and grasped my arm. The next thing I knew, the garage was gone, and we were standing in a snow-covered field.
